The ICT Team
Control Systems Engineer
John joined ICT 15 years ago as a graduate in Mechatronics – a specialist engineering qualification concerning the design and integration of systems combining electrical, mechanical and software components. He has since consolidated and expanded his skills on a wide variety of ICT projects including safety systems for the automotive industry and various bulk delivery systems for iron melting/ casting (also related to the automotive industry).
Working at ICT for 15 years in a pioneering and future oriented field, I enjoy designing, building, testing, and deploying effective automation solutions to meet the short and long term goals of our clients.
Project experience has continued to build on John’s areas of specialisation – PLC programming (including standard and safety), HMI panels, variable speed drives and SCADA (particularly Citect and WinCC). His Siemens knowledge is supported by John’s successful completion of the Siemens Solution Partner Certification.
ICT clients repeatedly describe John as “easy to have around”. He is a no-fuss, quiet achiever – a sound, methodical technical engineer who knows his stuff and is especially valuable on-site during the commissioning phase.
