Control Systems Engineer
Yan was awarded a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering at HeiFei University of Technology in China in 2004. He continued his study part time in China to complete a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering in 2005. His experience in China includes 3 years in the role of Electrical Engineer with a leading supplier of automotive assembly line test equipment. Yan came to Australia in 2010 and joined ICT as a full time employee in September 2011. He brings with him a broad range of experience including: Win CC SCADA, Siemens and Allen Bradley PLCs, plus experience at ANU Canberra in the field of solar collectors.
Working for ICT not only gives me a great opportunity to advance technical skills and experience in the automation industry, but also helps me learn the importance of innovation which is key to success. Everyday work is a change as I am continually trying to find the best solution which is the culture of ICT, keeping me fresh and motivated.
Since joining ICT Yan has been actively involved in the design, development and rollout of automation solutions using iFix SCADA and Omron PLCs. He has demonstrated an aptitude for quickly picking up new technology and complex technical concepts and the combination of his enthusiasm, energy and “can do” attitude make him a sought after member of the ICT project team.
Yan currently holds Inductive Automation Core Certification.
